DramFest returns for 2022
Whisky Galore has announced it will host its 8th biennial whisky festival DramFest in Christchurch in February 2022.
DramFest is New Zealand’s largest whisky tasting and education festival and has become an iconic event on the drinks industry calendar.
The 2022 event will be held from 26-27 February at the brand-new Te Pae Christchurch Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Tickets will be available for purchase from Monday 1 November, 2021.
Whisky Galore says that after the success of previous years, Rum will return as the 'Guest Spirit' for the event.
It says there will be more than 300 different whisky and rum expressions available to sample from distilleries, producers and independent bottlers from Scotland, Japan, Ireland, America, New Zealand and around the world.
Whisky and rum experts from New Zealand and overseas will host exclusive tasting sessions over the course of the weekend, both in person and virtually.
Whisky Galore says it expects DramFest 2022 to attract more than 2,500 whisky enthusiasts.
