Entries open for NZ Spirits Awards 2023
Entries are now open for the NZ Spirits Awards 2023, with medal winners announced in May and trophy winners revealed at a gala dinner in June.
The Awards are presented by Spirits New Zealand Inc. and Distilled Spirits Aotearoa (NZ) Inc. and assess local and internationally available spirits.
Entries are open until Friday 14 April with distillers and distributors invited to submit entries within a range of categories. The Awards are open to members and non-members of DSA and all products entered must be commercially available in New Zealand.
The top spirits in each category are recognised with bronze, silver, gold and double-gold medals as judged by panels of industry experts. The absolute best are recognised with Trophies awarded for Best New Zealand and Best Overall in each category.
Trophies are also awarded annually for the best New Zealand Emerging Product Award, New Zealand Packaging Design Award and New Zealand Innovation Award – an award for creativity in a New Zealand context.
Organisers are inviting expressions of interest from industry experts both nationally and internationally to join the judging panels for 2023. Applicants will be peer-reviewed and short-listed by the New Zealand Spirits awards committee.
