Hop Federation marks decade with new Brut Pilsner

Hop Federation has just released a celebratory new beer to mark 10 years of brewing, along with the opening of its new brewery in Motueka.

Hop Federation Brut Pilsner (4.9% ABV) is fresh and crisp, with Riwaka, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin hops in the mix, and champagne yeast added at the end of the brewing process to create Brut-style bubbles and a dry finish.

The new limited release beer is already award-winning, having taken Silver at this year’s New Zealand Beer Awards.

Hop Federation’s Brut Pilsner follows the release of its Hold the Line NZIPA (6.3% ABV) at the end of October, which is described as: “A celebration of New Zealand hops with Southern Cross, Taiheke and Nectaron packed in to create a tropical taste explosion. “

Both beers are available in 440ml cans and in keg.

Hop Federation is canning on site at its new brewery and brewers Simon Nicholas and Dean Hunter are working on more new beers as well as revamping the current Hop Federation range.
