New role for Emma Marris at Marisco Family Vineyards

Marisco Vineyards has announced the appointment of Emma Marris to the new role of Assistant Managing Director.

Emma is the daughter of renowned winemaker Brent Marris, founder of Marisco Vineyards, and has been deeply connected to the wine industry from an early age.

She studied winemaking, earning First Class Honours from the University of Adelaide in 2015, and then gained international winemaking experience in France and the USA. Emma has been a Winemaker at Marisco Vineyards since 2017 and has judged wine shows nationally and internationally. She also holds the WSET Diploma in Wine.

In 2018, she launched her own wine range using fruit from Leefield Station, which includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Her label allows her creative freedom to experiment with new techniques and methods, and to work with select parcels from specific sites and terroirs.

In 2022, Emma expanded her skill set by interning at a private equity firm in Auckland, which led to her last role as an Investment Associate. Marisco Vineyards says that Emma’s diverse experiences and passion for winemaking make her an invaluable asset and the family is excited to welcome her back.
