NZ Fruit Wine and Cider Awards 2022 revealed

The 2022 New Zealand Fruit Wine & Cider Awards have taken place in Nelson with 138 entries, equalling last year’s record.

Following the sudden passing of industry pioneer Alex Peckham earlier this year, organisers announced they would rename the traditional cider trophy, with which he was most associated, to the Alex Peckham Memorial Trophy. Chairman Jody Scott said: “The Peckham’s family story and truly remarkable performance at these awards over the years have led to world acclaim and inspired many craft cidermakers. We wanted Alex and his achievements to always be remembered.”
