Reefton Distilling to scale up whisky with capital raise

Reefton Distilling Co. is seeking to raise a minimum of $1M from private and wholesale investors to scale up its Moonlight Creek whisky production as global interest in New World whisky grows.

The offer is live via equity crowdfunding platform Snowball Effect to retail and wholesale investors, with minimum investment of $1,000. Funds from this raise will be used for investment in the distillery’s Moonlight Creek whisky inventory, new warehousing for inventory, and operations.

This initial offer is part of a larger raise, which will take place over the next 18 to 24 months, and Reefton Distilling Co. has appointed boutique investment bank Arcbridge Partners as a raise partner.

Arcbridge has extensive experience in the global beverage industry (it supported the sale of Cardrona Distillery to global drinks business International Beverage in 2023), and notes that New Zealand is seen as one of the rising stars of New World whisky.

Arcbridge says it believes that Reefton Distilling Co. will attract the interest and attention of the global beverage industry and investors as the company delivers on the milestones it has set.

Reefton Distilling Co. began laying down its first Moonlight Creek single malt whisky in September 2022 and the first release will be a Limited Edition 3-year aged single malt whisky in September 2025 with further limited releases planned for years five and seven.

In 2023, Reefton became the first New Zealand distillery to contract distil whisky for the Scots, securing a multi-year supply contract for its new make spirit with the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS).
