Tequila stars in new Pals releases

RTD brand Pals has released three new products for summer – including two tequila-based RTDs.

The new releases are Pals Classic Margarita, Pals Chilli Margarita and Pals Gin Citrus Twist, and they are packaged in a new look 250ml can with a cream background and checkerboard design. All three are 5.8% ABV.

The Classic Margarita combines authentic Blanco Tequila (distilled in Jalisco, Mexico), Triple Sec, Mexican limes, and sea salt. Chilli Margarita is described as “a well-balanced, spicy rendition of the classic, with the inclusion of just the right amount of heat from habanero chillies”. Gin Citrus Twist blends triple distilled gin, Sicilian lemons and juicy tangelos with Pals’ bespoke mix of juniper-forward botanicals.

The Pals team say they had noticed a lack of ‘better for you’ tequila and gin offerings that used premium clean ingredients combined with specialty spirits. This gap was also backed by overwhelming demand from Pals customers to release more specialty flavours. Sourcing a high-quality, authentic Tequila distillery and creating the final product has taken just over two years.

“As it turns out, sourcing high quality authentic Tequila is actually pretty challenging, which is why it took us so long to release the range,” says Nick Marshall, Pals Co-Founder and Director. “Plus, we genuinely go through dozens of rounds of samples when creating new flavours to land on the perfect balance of ingredients. We don’t take any shortcuts, so the process requires a lot of patience, but the result is an authentic, high-quality range that looks and tastes great. The whole team is really proud of what we’ve created.”

As with the rest of the Pals range, the three new products contain all-natural flavours, are gluten-free, vegan and contain no artificial colours, sweeteners or preservatives.

Pals Classic Margarita, Pals Chilli Margarita and Pals Gin Citrus Twist are
250ml 10-pack RRP $31.99.
