Bombay Sapphire launches ‘Saw This, Made This’ in Queenstown

Bombay Sapphire is partnering with seven Queenstown venues as part of a global campaign designed to inspire creativity, led by film director Baz Lurhmann.

‘Saw This, Made This’ is described as “a celebration of creativity, that illustrates how the world around us creates inspiration for flavours, garnishes and creative cocktail serves.”

The partner venues are showcasing a cocktail menu inspired by Bombay Sapphire and the exhibition’s three themes of ‘Nature’, ‘Blue’ and ‘People’. The cocktails will be available from Thursday 19th October through to Sunday 30th October.

The venues are: Yonder, Surreal Bar & Restaurant, Jervois Steak House, Little Blackwood, Pig & Whistle Pub, Pog Mahones Irish Pub & Restaurant, and Reds Bar.

The campaign includes a Bombay blue frame set up on the Queenstown waterfront for people to capture their own moments through the frame.

As Creative Director of the ‘Saw This, Made This’ campaign globally, Baz Luhrmann says he hopes to highlight the role that creativity can play in people’s everyday lives, and champion the creative community globally.

The campaign invites people to capture what they see in the world that inspires them creatively and share it on social media using #SawThisMadeThis.

Bombay Sapphire says that through collaboration with hundreds of artists and creators from a variety of disciplines, the campaign will feature before-and-after ‘Saw This, Made This’ videos and photos, demonstrating how people can reframe the world around them and turn that inspiration into creative expression.

Jenn Wong, Brand Manager for Bombay Sapphire in New Zealand, says ‘Saw This, Made This’ is an evolution of Stir Creativity, and a celebration of creativity. “Baz has brought this evolution of creativity, to life in a film that will be airing on a screen near you soon, challenging Kiwis to see the world differently through their own creative eye.

“Each day, Kiwis capture photos of sunsets and precious moments that are quickly forgotten before they are shared. Bombay Sapphire hopes to encourage others to instead reframe these creative moments and use them as inspiration for other works of art whether it be cocktails, fashion or art.”
