Hendrick’s Hootenanny set for Greytown

Gin brand Hendrick’s is holding its first Hendrick’s Hootenanny in Greytown during the month of March.

Starting on 1 March, a series of gin-inspired events will be held around the Wairarapa town, culminating in the National Tweed Ride on Easter Saturday, 30 March.

Described as “a refreshingly curious gin fiesta”, the Hendrick’s Hootenanny will showcase a range of new special edition Hendrick’s gin cocktails at the licenced premises of Greytown, as well as events, parties and special menus.

Greytown’s iconic White Swan Country Hotel will be Hendrick’s Hootenanny HQ for the entire month.

The fourth annual National Tweed Ride on Easter Saturday will see hundreds of tweed-clad riders enjoy an afternoon of Hendrick’s-sponsored “shenanigans” at various locations around Greytown, cycling between each venue.

“It’s become one of the most beloved Easter events in the region,” says Adam Blackwell of bicycle retailer Blackwell and Sons, co-sponsor of the 2024 National Tweed Ride. “Hendrick’s with their unusually quirky brand style are the perfect partner for this event, and we are thrilled they have extended their involvement to create a month-long celebration of gin and fun in Greytown.”
