Lawson’s Dry Hills celebrates B Corp Certification
Lawson’s Dry Hills has announced it is now B Corp Certified, in time for the release of its 2024 wines and as the company brings its domestic distribution back in-house from February.
Director and General Manager, Sion Barnsley says Lawson’s Dry Hills has a vision to lead New Zealand in sustainable wine production. “As a B Corp, we now join a movement of businesses committed to transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities and the planet. Alongside our existing sustainability accreditations, becoming B Corp Certified continues to improve our business at every juncture.”
Andrew Davies, CEO of B Lab Australia & Aotearoa New Zealand has congratulated the company on its achievement as it joins 170 businesses in Aotearoa New Zealand and over 9,000 B Corps worldwide. “Meeting our high global standards is challenging, especially in industries with complex supply chains and manufacturing processes like winemaking. Lawson’s Dry Hills’ certification independently verifies their ongoing commitment to sustainable wine production, people, and the planet.”
The B Corp certification applies across the business and includes all the company’s brands: Blind River, Inviniti, The Sisters, and Mount Vernon, as well as Lawson’s Dry Hills.
