Monkey Shoulder reveals its new-look bottle

Whisky brand Monkey Shoulder has updated its bottle with a fresh new look that includes a new label and a lighter bottle.

Distributed in New Zealand by Federal Merchants & Co., the new and improved Monkey Shoulder bottle will be implemented across The Original 700ml and 1L formats.

The more than 23% reduction in glass makes for a lighter pour, which is aided further by a longer neck, creating a more polished experience for bar professionals or consumers at home.

The new label design has been optimised for maximum impact, moving to a split label design with premium cues. The brand’s logo has also been increased to aid recognition and impact in-store, online and on the back bar.

Launched in 2005, Monkey Shoulder was the world’s first ‘made for mixing’ blended malt-whisky. The name is derived from the Scottish slang for a muscular strain suffered by malt men during the days when whisky was still made by hand.
